Something wrong with Storyline- Quiz Results Layer

Mar 17, 2023

Hi everyone, I'll apologise in advance as I want to be professional but I have redone this scene three times, and as a contractor time is of the essence.

In summary, what happens is all answers are captured as correct and navigate to the failure layer!! I initially thought, possibly me, and created the scene all over again (3 times thus far) and went with the mapping and variables Storyline creates when inserting a quiz results slide so something isn't right.

The scene in question is Scene 10. As you'll see it contains five quizzes.

I completed a preview each time I created these quizzes individually, and it worked! But then it 'broke' when I previewed the entire project.

I'm done and am so close to suggesting another software for eLearning but given my role, I just need this to work.

I am fairly good at using Storyline so am really stumped by this. Please someone help, I cannot even begin to describe how frustrating it is when other course validators question my competence.

OK, I have finally figured this thing out (oddly enough the support crew did not).

It appears that Scene11, which is a duplicate scene (done deliberately so serve a different set of our markets) works!

My logic with this:

I think that by duplicating scene 10 which was the original scene where the assessment activities were created, I screwed up 'something' although the config settings, variables etc etc are 100% correct. Whereas scene 11 works but will only work if scene 10 remains there (even though it cannot be used). Why if there is a way to hide it?

Anyway, I noticed if I simply "copy" the file, and not duplicate it, both seem to work.

This really is something Articulate needs to review as it's wasted a lot of my time.

I certainly do not mean to be rude as I love this interface, I am someone who works with logic and when a code is correct, yet doesn't work its so demotivating to continue.

Hopefully, Support can see this troubleshooting I did as I requested help on a few occasions both of which I couldn't get help.
