Storyline shortcut for repeat last action

Oct 04, 2018

Is there a shortcut to repeat the last action?  In Microsoft Office, it's F4, but I haven't found anything similar in Storyline.  I'd love to be able to quickly repeat formatting changes without using the toolbar each time.

Hi Michael!

While there isn't a "repeat last action" shortcut, I wonder if the format painter would achieve what you're looking to do!

Once you apply the formatting changes to an object, be sure that object is selected, then double-click the format painter. From there, click the other objects that need the formatting changes.

And in case you're interested, here are all of the other Storyline 360 keyboard shortcuts you can use to save time!

Hi Marisa!

Thanks for letting us know the feature you’d be interested in seeing. I’d like to understand what repeatable actions you’d like to apply so that I could share a tip if applicable or get that feature request submitted for you. If you’d prefer to share your thoughts with our team directly, you can submit your feature request here.

Thanks for reaching out!

Has this feature still not been added? I'm trying to change backgrounds for a selected number of slides (not all, so apply to all doesn't work). I'm adding a gradient, so it's multiple clicks. I can't use format painter for this, so a repeat last action feature would be nice.

I'd appreciate a staff member submitting a feature request for me (and perhaps marisa) on our behalf.

Add me to the growing chorus of users who'd love to see a "repeat last action" option added. I frequently need to use the "Change Shape" option in the right-click menu, and being able to repeat that action by clicking shape -> hitting (button combo) -> clicking shape -> hitting (button combo) -> etc. would save a lot of wear and tear on my poor, delicate fingies. Thanks!
