Switch user license to someone else?

Aug 18, 2021

Hello - my coworker is trying to find her original storyline file to make edits to the training. She seems to only have the produced file saved. She no longer has a license to Articulate, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to pass my license to her temporarily? Would she be able to see her Storyline projects then like I can see mine?

Hi Cassie, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

I appreciate you chiming in to share what you see and the difficulty that your coworker is experiencing.

The recent file list in Storyline is simply the latest courses you've worked on in the software. These files should be on your local C: Drive. Even if she installs the software, she hasn't worked on any .story files recently, and this list will be blank.

I would recommend having her search her local C: Drive for .story files, and then she can share with you. The .story project file is not a part of the published output files. However, they may be under the same file name. For example, myproject.zip is the output file, and she should also have a myproject.story file.
