timed text issue

My coworker and I are having a strange issue with timed text in Storyline 360 and I'm hoping someone can help out. When I separate text into bullets or paragraphs and use the animation (fade at .75) and use the effect by paragraph. It allows me to move each paragraph in the timeline to when I want it to appear.

However, it doesn't always appear when it's supposed to.

• It's appeared early
• It's appeared late with the added effect that some of the text never appears at all
• It's appeared sporadically with no logic to how the paragraphs are separated. I might get a bullet of a bullet point but never get the text associated with it. Or I might get a partial paragraph at a line break which appears with the next paragraph. Once I got a symbol in the previous paragraph come in with the next paragraph.  There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to how it's doing it.
• It doesn't happen to all pages with timed text, but many within a lesson.

We have tried reformatting the text boxes, rebuilding the scenes, rebuilding the courses from scratch, I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Storyline.

Has anyone had a similar issue? If so, how did you solve it?
