Tiny text image appearing above text boxes

Jan 12, 2022

Apologies if this is a common question. I have imported Powerpoint slides into Storyline. When I preview the slides, there are what look like tiny text boxes just above the actual text boxes. It is visible here, just above 'For special educational needs / additional needs.' I have tried resizing, cutting and pasting, and they are still there when I preview. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have had this problem before and it would be good to know how to fix it in future.

Hi

I haven't seen this issue in particular but the standard couple of things to get started with troubleshooting would be:

1- Check, does the strange line appear in the published output? Sometimes the preview and the publish render differently.

2- It's hard to see from the screenshot but to me it looks like a line along the top of the text box. Have you tried resetting the formatting of that text box?

3- Double check there is nothing in the slide master that could be showing up as that odd line/tiny text.

4- Are you able to place anything on top of it to obscure it? If yes, then it is likely connected to an asset on your slide, if no then it could be a fundamental issue with the file (in which case import current storyline file into new storyline file)

I hope this helps
