Update: Publishing Issues with Storyline 360

Over the past several months we have noticed an uptick in errors occurring when Storyline 360 writes files to disk during preview and publish operations. We haven’t made any recent changes to this area of Storyline’s infrastructure and had difficulty finding the underlying cause of this issue. Our continued research revealed that it was introduced via a Windows update that was released in late March for versions 21H2 and 22H2 of Windows 10 and 11.

On June 13 Microsoft released new updates for these versions of Windows that should fix the underlying problem. If you are frequently seeing the “Articulate Storyline Error Report” dialog when publishing or previewing in Storyline 360 we encourage you to apply this Windows update.
