Video won't jump to next slide when user clicks next and cannot move past video if video is paused and next is clicked by user

Hi can someone help me out with this?  I'm sure I need additional triggers of some sort but don't know where I am going wrong here? I only have one layer on the video and a custom made play button which becomes pause when clicked after starting.

My triggers are:

Pause video when user clicks pause button

Change state of pause button to hidden when user clicks pause button

Change state of play button to normal when user clicks pause button

Play video when user clicks play button

As well as the next and previous triggers.
