Freebie: ELH Challenge #322 photo collage demo
May 10, 2021
Managing Pain - Jonathan's Story is a demo in response to Articulate’s E-Learning Heroes Challenge #322: Creating Visual Stories with Interactive Photo Collages. Blog post: https://tracycarroll.net/managing-pain/
Freebie: the story file is attached for download.
Cool Tool - To create the comic book effect with the images I used, I employed the use of a tool new to me: Colorcinch. This online photo editor & cartoonizer is easy to use, and free! There are more advanced versions of the application that require a paid subscription, but for this demo I went with the free version. Below is a quick example that shows how the free version of the tool can quickly create cartoon versions of a photo. (The image below is not shown in the demo.)
*UPDATE: 5.2.23 - I created this demo a couple of years ago. At that time, a "Basic" or free version of this tool was available. The current pricing information can be found here: https://www.cartoonize.net/pricing/

Tracy, this is fantastic! This is such a creative way to introduce someone’s story. Thanks so much for sharing this example and the resources you used to create the really cool comic book effect! By any chance, are you able to share the story file? I know the community would love it.
Thank you, Sarah! I've attached the story file for download.

This really stretches the limits of what I thought Storyline could do. I really appreciate it!
Thank you, Josh!
Wow, This is so amazing. This is an amazing way to share a storyline.
Thank you, Alice!
Just tried to do it myself, and it appears that all of the "cartoonizer" effects are now behind a paywall. 😫
Hi Eric, sorry about that! I created this demo a couple of years ago. At that time, a "Basic" or free version of this tool was available. The current pricing information can be found here: https://www.cartoonize.net/pricing/
