Resume in LMS to save progress on interactive slide

Apr 01, 2021

I am building an Interactive Map slide that has different pinned destinations. The pin has states on locked, and visited. In order to unlock the destination you need to enter a code, which I am doing using a number variable. So once you have the code (found in the course) you enter it on the map to unlock the next destination. I am using this as a visual as they progress through the course. However, the course isn't all in one SCORM file in my LMS. The map is it's own SCORM. As you discover the codes I have them return to this Map. But when resuming everything is resetting to the initial state.  Do I need to use variables instead of states? Or do I need to find a way to do this across multiple slides instead of all on one?

Hi Dawn! I'm loving your interactive map! Storyline 360 automatically saves slide information only when a learner advances to another slide. You can create a SAVE button that jumps to another slide so you don't have to redo all the layers. You may want to check out this article for more info on how that works. I hope that helps!
