What's your take on branding curricula?

Our organization recently went through a redesign of our employer brand (our general brand as seen by our recruits, new hires and existing employees).   I manage all orientation and onboarding so the brand is fresh and new for what I do.  But my colleagues, who manage leadership, clinical and general staff training, are not sure that this new brand helps them to brand their own curricula.

It's been common practice in my career that you brand a track of learning so that the learner knows exactly what they are there to learn and they immediately recognize that branding to be the topic of the training they are going through.

Some of our non-learning colleagues strongly feel we should stop that practice of branding learning initiatives and revert to this new employer brand for every training topic.  This is such a change for our learning professionals who have years and years in this industry.  Especially since the non-learning colleagues do not want any modification to the branding look - essentially all of our training will look exactly the same if this is the direction we move to.

My thought is that the new branding is good, as long as we can brand (or c0-brand) with something that identifies the learning track.  I feel that this creates some psychological safety for the learner and creates a common thread in the materials that tie to the topic, while keeping to the employer brand.
