Global and specific to block

Hi. Thanks for adding a coding block. This is something that will help many extend the value of Rise. Is there a way to introduce global code that persists throughout the course rather than just in the code block? Also, is there a way to modify existing blocks (similar to what the Mighty plugin does)?
