360 photo and video support
We've got a Ricoh Theta 360 degree camera which we're using to create immersive learning experiences.
I'm trying to find out if Storyline 360 has support for 360 photos but having 360 in the product name makes searching hard!

We also have a 360 camera and would love to have this feature ASAP please.

Has anyone heard any updates on Storyline support of 360 photos and videos? Adobe Captivate and a bunch others already have these features, so it seems like a no-brainer for Articulate to follow suit (and possibly improve upon the features).

This thread is two years old. The only updates are "we're keeping an eye on it". This shouldn't take that long to evaluate if it is possible to add a feature like this or no it's not. Pretty disappointing. If someone is working on it, please tell us, if not please tell us.
Hi Greg,
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful in understanding why "we're keeping an eye on it".
So, it's not just if it's possible or not, but other factors as well.
We attach forum discussions along with support cases to the requests as needed so that we can provide updates when applicable. No update doesn't mean it's off the table though.
Our What's New, What's Next page is a good place to keep a pulse on what is on the horizon.

Hi Leslie,
The last time the What's New page was updated was back in May and only has items that are already available. It would be good to know what's on the horizon and the expected dates when those features will become available.
Cheers

We have a big company and have one of the top training departments in the world. Unfortunately Articulate is not keeping up with the competition. I am seriously evaluating other options.

I agree Sarah. Adobe came out with 360 video support over a year ago, and even supports VR creation. While there hasn't been any movement on the Articulate front for this type of support. Even an agile approach, i.e. 360 photo support would be a step in the right direction.
Unfortunately, I am considering other options as well. :(

What gets me is there is SEVERAL free 360 video and photo viewers and players that are open source that have already built the framework to integrate it into a software application! The work is pretty much done for Articulate, they just have to validate and test it within their software coding! I used one of the open source platforms and just built my own content around it and use that within my storyline 360 courses as a web object, but it can be viewed offline since I built the viewer and can integrate it into my SCORM output file for my LMS to reference when 360 content is used. If I can figure out how to make it work without access to articulate source code, I would hope they could implement 360 photo and video support in a timely fashion.

Wow, Robert. I'd be interested to see where that goes. Could you share your findings? Please, please, please... :)

Yes. Please share, Robert.

Yes I would love to see 360 photo and video support in Articulate 360. I work in Government and we are use storyline and rise to develop training courses and recently purchased CenarioVR just to help with the 360 photos and videos work we do. I wish it was all possible using Articulate 360.

We're also looking at virtual tour 360. I'm hoping we don't have to go back to Captivate to use it.

That's what I wish for our university projects.
