Accessibility Checker Buggy?
I'm working on a project now and various accessibility issues appear to be staying flagged in the Checker despite being resolved. The image below shows a hotspot that the checker flagged as not having alt text:
But I've entered "Benefits Info" and selected Apply numerous times. Choosing refresh doesn't remove it from the list. When I go to the slide's Focus Order, the hotspot is labelled correctly.
I've also right clicked the hotspot and gone to the accessibility window where the desired Alt text appears. I've tried closing and reopening the program. Restarting my computer, but nothing removes this from the Accessibility Checker's report.
Anyone else either experiencing this or have ideas on how to resolve it?

Hi JaredSpeight-22,
Thanks for sharing the details and screenshot!
The message you’re seeing, “Custom alt text added,” isn’t an error or unresolved issue. It’s an informational note from the Accessibility Checker letting you know that you’ve manually entered alt text for that object (in this case, the hotspot), rather than leaving it blank or using auto-generated content.
This is expected behavior, not a bug. The checker is simply flagging it so you’re aware that custom alt text has been applied. If “Benefits Info” is the correct and clear description for the object, then no further action is needed.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

I'm confused. Why would this be showing up in the accessibility checker if nothing needs to be checked for it? I would expect that the tool would only show items that need to be addressed and remove them once they have been.
I'm experiencing a similar issue with a "Captions Added" for a video. I manually added captions to 25 or so short videos throughout the build, but one of them is still flagged. The buttons I can press for it are to Write captions (which are already done) and Skip, which I would assume means ignore the issue, but it's still a problem.Hi JaredSpeight-22,
Thanks for your response and for sharing the screenshot!
You make a very good point, and I agree that once an accessibility issue has been addressed, it shouldn’t continue to be flagged in the checker.
We’d be happy to take a closer look at your project file to help figure out why that’s happening. Would you be able to upload your Storyline course here or share it privately through a support case?
We’ll take it from there and do our best to help.
