Add a delay to a slide transition
I am using the fit slide to longest option on all my slides, but I've discovered that it doesn't allow for natural pauses between slides.
I know I could add a trigger to delay the transition, or manually pull the timeline out but it would be so nice if the transition option included a delay.
Or is there a way that I'm missing?

Thanks for sharing the type of functionality you'd like to see in Storyline.
You're not missing anything! Currently, Storyline does not support a built-in option to delay Slide Transitions. We are tracking a feature request for this, and I've included your voice in the report.
As you've mentioned, using a Trigger to delay the jump to the next Slide is a valid workaround.
We'll be sure to notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps!
Adding a trigger to 30 or 40 slides is a workaround, but not a very efficient one.
It would be nice if there could be a variable, similar to the one for setting the level of the background music that you could apply for transitions.just a thought.
