Adding Certain Team Members with AI

Hello,

I have heard that, in order to add AI funtionality, I have to upgrade my entire team. Is this true?

If I only have maybe 5 out of 20 that need the upgrade, do I HAVE to upgrade everyone on the team??

Thanks!

    Dear Articulate Team,

Are there any news/updates on this? We would also be interested in only upgrading certain team members and not everyone.

What is the reasoning behind having to upgrade everyone? We have some users who have a license, but only occasionally using them, so it does not make sense for them to have the AI assistant available.

Do you plan to update the approach?

    Thank you.

Hi Dominik1! Right now, AI Assistant is enabled at the team level, not by individual seat. We understand that might not be ideal if some folks use their licenses less often.

If you'd like more flexibility, one workaround is to set up two separate subscriptions: one with AI Assistant enabled and one without. Just note that doing so would limit collaboration across subscriptions, including features like Team Slides and Team Folders.

        Hi LaurenDuvall

Thank you so much for your reply — I only saw it today.
That’s an interesting approach, setting up two separate subscriptions. I hadn’t thought of that. I’ve raised it with my colleagues, and we’ll discuss whether this could be a viable option.

  • Hello BrianCookCB,

    Happy to help!

When enabled, AI Assistant is available to all seats in the subscription. There is currently no option to turn it on or off for individual seats. This FAQ contains a list of commonly asked questions about AI which you might find helpful!

Meaning I would have to pay an extra $250 for every seat, correct?

Yes, pro-rated based on your annual Team renewal date.
