Adding Multiple CC

Well, I was initially shocked that Storyline didn't provide multiple language CCs for videos, but I've just done a test and there are some quite easy workarounds, in my opinion.

In my course, I will have a single video that requires alternative language CC's the be available, so I simply created a slide layer that shows when the slide timeline starts and it has buttons on it for each language. Then I created layers for each language and copy/pasted the video onto each layer. I then set the CC's up for each language on the videos on each layer.

I also set up triggers to show the required layer, based on which button was pressed by the learner.

The good thing with this is that the same video is placed onto each layer so the course doesn't increase in size with each video used.

And, if I need different languages to be available across multiple points in the course, I will resort to having a language choice slide at the beginning of the video which will set a variable so I can then call on that variable across the course to hide/show the relevant content as needed.
