Adding Voiceovers in Rise
I have been combing through articles relating to voiceovers in Rise and am coming up empty. I need to provide voiceovers for each of my blocks. This is not for any ADA issues but for educational issues. Some of our frontline workers are not great readers and allowing them to hear the content works better for them. I love the look of Rise but if I can't provide voiceover, I will need to rework the training I just completed into a different format.
Is there a way to narrate a Rise training? It looked like this was on the roadmap 5 years ago.
Thanks,
Mindy

You can add an audio block above or below your content and upload an audio file.

I do not see how to do that. I need to voice over in my tabs, labeled graphics, etc. I don't think I can add a block to a block. I can only add it before or after, correct?

Oh yes. Unfortunately, as far as I know you cannot add VO to separate tabs. You could create that type of interaction in Storyline and the add VO to each tab.

Audio blocks do not offer Voiceover functionality.

Thanks, Cynthia and Karl. That's a shame. I won't be able to use Rise at all. I love the look and feel of it, but I can't use it without VO functionality. ☹️

Mindy, do you intend to have voiceover matching all the text in your course? That would go against Mayer's principle of redundancy, but I realize a lot of people are looking for this exact functionality.

Phil, I agree, especially in Presenter. I now have to rethink my build completely. I have learners that may or may not be able to read up to engineers. This particular training has to reach all of them and everyone in between. I have to have the VO and can have photos for some of the slides. Others are a bit more difficult.
Thank you for your input.
