AI accents changing - Rise 360

Hi. 

Just to share a little bit of my experience. In Storyline, there are other languages where the accent isn’t exactly (or at all) consistent with what’s listed in the voice library.

Recently, when translating a French module for a Flemish-speaking Belgian audience, I proposed a selection of 15 voices with specific and clearly labeled Flemish accents that were available, and the client replied that NONE of them actually had a Flemish accent—rather, they all had a Dutch accent.

More recently, I used ALAIN (French, standard accent) for a module in my own language and for a French audience, but sometimes it had a Quebec accent—a little, and sometimes a lot—and sometimes it didn’t. P.S.: I LOVE the Quebec accent… but that wasn’t the intended effect. I had to switch for another narrator.
