AI Assistant

Wondering if anyone has experience with the AI Assistant. The org I work for has asked for a business case to justify the cost. Without having tried it, my initial thought is that we can utilize our existing AI tool to deliver what the internal Articulate tool may provide but would love to hear opinions on this from anyone who has used the tool.

  • We had some of the same discussions about using it. Here were the positives.

    • Al voices are really good and allows for easy updates and changes after reviewing and you find you just don't like the way that sentence sounds. Or and SME wants a change at the last minute.
    • Generate pictures and retake in a few minutes, not hours or days when things just don't look right.
    • Create quizzes in minutes not hours or days that have feedback for each correct or incorrect answer.

These are just a few quickies to give them.

    Good luck

Like many tools, it's designed for a purpose. By integrating it into the software, Articulate has reduced the need to work in a different tool and then download/insert, copy/paste, etc. from that other tool. So yes, it saves some time. It also gives some specific advantages to learning design; in fact, I used it this morning to help refine some questions about a difficult regulatory topic. And the voices are a nice feature, as well.

Depending on the number of users/licenses, and the extent to which you (all) use the full Articulate suite, it's probably at cost-effective way to easily improve overall learning design. But if your org determines that you can do the same things with the "approved" AI tool, then, well, you're using a screwdriver like a chisel (perhaps). It will work, of course, but it may just take a few more steps.
