AI audio text-to-speech from a closed captions file?

Hi,

I have a question regarding the capabilities of Storyline 360. I'm aware that it can generate voice-over from a script and create closed captions. However, I'm wondering if it's possible to input a closed captions file and have the AI text-to-speech generate voice-over using the script within that file—essentially ignoring the timestamps and focusing solely on the script text.

While it would be fantastic if the voice-over could be embedded in the timeline according to the timestamps in the closed captions file, I'd still consider it a win if the text-to-speech can produce voice-over using the closed captions file that can be manually synchronized within the timeline.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and insights. Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Sundeep

  • No, you could extract the txt but you cannot generate a voice over from an CC file

  • Hello SundeepM,

I’m glad that Phil has already been helping you out. I’ve also shared your feedback with our product team so they can consider it for a future release.

While Storyline 360 currently doesn’t support using the closed captions to generate text-to-speech narration, your idea makes a lot of sense and could be really helpful for many creators.

Thanks again for taking the time to share it!
