Animations slowing down over time
Hi,
for one of our clients, we have created an extensive elearning module (runtime around 1 hour 45), consisting of several scenes, each with content and quiz slides.
The content slides feature wave files and lots of animated shapes and graphics.
Sadly, we've run into a pretty nasty problem: Around half-way through our elearning, animations start to lag behind their corresponding audio, resulting in an increasing overall length of individual slides (for example, a slide that would run 20 seconds of audio and matching animations now takes 23 seconds to finish all animations).
The longer the course runs, the more severe this effect becomes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards Christian
Hi ChristianSiglin,
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with the animations in your Storyline project. As you have pointed out, your project is extensive and media-heavy, but this should not affect how the animations behave unless corrupt media elements are involved.
We haven't received a similar report lately, so we can start troubleshooting by ruling out a possible installation issue on your end. If you're already working on your local drive, try running these steps to fix possible installation issues.
If the problem persists, we'd be glad to investigate further. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file so we can examine what you have set up and rule out file corruption? You may share it here or privately in a support case, where our Support Engineers will work with you one-on-one. We'll delete the file when we're done testing.
