Are fonts embedded?
When I would pick a new font for a slide is that font embedded?
In other words if I have a special font on my machine and I click on that
special font does the user have to have that font on their machine or is
the font embedded so the one I picked from my machine will work on
everyone elses machine?
thanks

thank you. Yes, I had found those articles awhile back and read the ones on Microsoft site too, when the first occurrences showed up in our courses. We do not have direct access to our SuccessFactors LMS server to enable WOFF support as it is shared amongst all coke bottlers and complicates the relationship with SAP. Our IT department doesn't enforce any group policy for fonts or downloading fonts on the internet settings, so that is not the issue either. Our most recent occurrence was in a course that every text was Segoe UI which is standard, and therefore the results should not be occurring.
Hi Cheryl,
Sorry about that! Here's the correct link to the article on enabling Modern Text.

Hi Folks, Same issue i am going through. I used client provided fonts and when i published the output its worked on my system but when my colleague launch that same build then fonts are not working and showing junk characters. Please suggest me for this so that others can also view that fonts
Hi Mayank,
Sorry to hear you've run into some trouble with the fonts in your output! Can you share a bit more detail, such as:
- What version of Storyline are you using?
- When your colleagues view the output, where have you hosted it?
- What browser are they viewing it in?
The details above will help us get to the bottom of what you're running into. You could also start by reviewing some of the troubleshooting steps here.

Dear All,
I am working on a Urdu Language Course. Would the user be able to view the Urdu font if he doesn't have that font?
Hi there, Hbl. As long as your learners' browsers allow for font downloading, they should be able to see the font you're using even if it isn't installed locally on their machine.
Let me know if you're hearing about any issues on the learners' end!

Has the embedded font issue been addressed and fixed? I am publishing files and the fonts are not embedded. I checked the "Display Accessible Text by Default" as recommended in another group and all text boxes display scroll bars (unacceptable) but, when unchecking that option my fonts are not embedded on publish. This is unbelievable and may lead us to look for other eLearning software. The mention that the font should be converted to images is crazy. Other software has been embedding fonts for years!!!!!

all compatible fonts are embedded (as far as I have tested it), but there is no definition from Articulate which fonts are really compatible - some have known problems (like bold not working, ...)
please upload an example of a affected story files with some text - but the fonts are needed for testing also
or open a support ticket with all infos
