Articulate Rise - Cover Page and Videos

My employer has asked for more video and audio content in our courses, specifically in the introductory sections of our builds. Has anyone ever embedded a video onto the cover page of a Rise course? Is that even a possibility?

Hi Sarah, I usually use GIF images.

They are easily created out of a video via Adobe or even Vyond. Those GIF images can then just handled like any other image. No further customization needed.

Sarah, this requires some customization, I put together a couple samples. The Sasquatch example uses CSS to make some animations on the cover, the other is a looping video file that is treated like a background in a slim title area. Both are also heavily modified 'dark mode' themes.

Hi Phil, is your example of the looping video just a Gif? Or have you managed to use an actual video file like mp4? Thanks.

Yes that's an acutal video file that is set to autoplay. However, a gif in this situation would be much safer, it's always a challenge to have autoplay video work for everyone due to browser restrictions, but its easier to get a video that has no audio track autoplay than a regular video with an audio track.
