Articulate Rise Quiz:

If I want to create a Quiz (Exam) with 30 questions, in separate categories.  Requirements include:

  1. 80% passing score (of the 30., not by category)
  2. 2 Attempts

Is the only way this can occur is by creating ONE Quiz Lesson?

I have multiple quiz Lessons, because I want the 30 questions divided into Categories. As a user, if you fail the first Lesson, you can't move forward.  If turn that off, how do they know at the end to go back to the beginning, or another section?  Any thoughts on this?

  • Hi tami2025 I don't think I have an answer for you, but I do find Rise and quiz configuration quite limiting for a couple of reasons:

    1. If the content is being published at SCORM, only one quiz can be used to mark the content as completed. You cannot configure completion based on quiz A OR quiz B or quiz C.
    2. The results slide cannot be customised, and so you have to work with what you have in terms of instructions to users on fail. I find this one to be quite a significant issue as you cannot instruct the user what to do next. There is just a try again button (if more than one attempt is allowed).

I would like more flexibility in the quiz, especially the results slide. I'd like to be able to add my own instructions and links to locations in the content. For example, if they do fail, providing the user a link back to content that they need to review. Currently, this is not possible.

Hopefully somebody will arrive with a creative solution for you (and me in future), but I hit a similar block recently for a course that we converted from Storyline to Rise that featured a PRE and POST assessment. We could not accurately replicate the functionality and had to make some quite significant compromises in functionality.
