Articulate Rise Update Change Folder Structure

The new Articulate Rise updates modified the folder structure and removed some files that we used to enhance our LMS, specifically adlnav_v1p3.xsd.  We used this to remove buttons that we don't want displayed for our users.

Was this a bug that perhaps happened or is the goal moving forward that this file will no longer be available for Articulate Rise LMS Exports?

  • I would be interested in the answer too. I recognized that our former courses had 17 files / elements, and younger ones have 18. The difference is the

    adlnav_v1p3.xsd

mentioned above. What does it does, and is it in our courses because of a change we made in our design OR because of a change in the behavior of Rise?

      Hi AndreaKombrink,

Happy to share some insight on this!

I can confirm this is the expected behavior when publishing from Rise 360 to LMS, and not a bug. We've previously shipped a number of optimizations to SCORM packages generated from Rise 360. As a result, this updated the folder structure, which now contains fewer .xsd files.

This will not affect the playback of your Rise packages in the LMS environment.

Please let us know if you need anything else!

Hi Steven, thanks for the information! To hear there are optimizations is good news. Although, as I am a curious person, I would like to know which kind of optimizations these are and what they do in detail.

AND, you said there are less .xsd-files. This isn't the behavior we experienced. In former courses, ther whre 17 files in total. And now (in newer ones), there are 18.

A new file has been added, named adlnav_v1p3.xsd. So I wonder why you say there are fewer files ...
