ARTICULATE STORYLINE RUNNING SLOW
Just here to say I noticed the same issue with a project I've been working on recently. Interestingly, the Storyline didn't lag when I started the project, but has increasingly gotten slower as I've added more slides. This hasn't happened to me in the past, and I confirmed Storyline is up to date (as well as my computer) and I'm working from files saved locally on my C: drive.
Any insight into what could cause this issue to develop, LaurenDuvall?

Hi AshleyLitsey!
Sorry to hear you've also been experiencing lag when authoring in Storyline 360!
Performance can sometimes degrade as more media assets accumulate within a project. Does your .story file contain several:
- MP4 videos per slide
- Long or uncompressed audio files
- High-resolution images (especially PNGs with transparency)
Storyline keeps media indexed at the project level. Once the total media footprint crosses a threshold, editing performance can sometimes slow down. A quick way to check is by navigating to View > Media Library from the top ribbon. There, you can sort by file size and see if a few assets are causing constraints.
If you're still having trouble, it would be easier to troubleshoot by seeing a copy of the file itself. Do you mind uploading the affected .story file here in the discussion or privately through a support case?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
