Audio support for quiz
I would like to suggest audio support for Rise quizzes. I am developing courses for a music learning website, and the ability to add audio to both the question and the answers would be valuable. I know I can add a Storyline block to accomplish this, but the built-in functionality in Rise would be great.
Hello everyone!
I’m excited to share that we've released a new Rise 360 update that includes:
- New: Do even more with knowledge check blocks, quizzes, and question bank questions by adding audio.
There’s nothing to install for web-based apps. New features and fixes are immediately available!
Please let us know if you need any additional help!

This is key. I work for a Government Agency and I'm building Rise 360 training pieces and I am having 508 compliance issues with the Knowledge Checks.
If we cannot get this problem solved, I may have to abandon the Articulate platform and move to another of our suite of development tools. I prefer this one because of the ease of use and the time invested but if the time invested doesn't lead to a compliant end product...it is a waste of time.
This thread has been in place for 2 years.
Although it may seem simplistic, couldn't the section that allows media to be uploaded be expanded to allow for Sound Files? I have built the sound files on the Storyline product. Surely it wouldn't be too big of a stretch to allow your own sound files to be uploaded into a sister platform.
Any chance of getting a quick reply? I have decisions to make rather quickly.

Following and adding +1 to this request.

Same. We are getting a lot of positive feedback on Rise 360 courses but not being able to include audio on the quizzes is holding it back.

Tagging in here as well...the state of Colorado is working to provide Inclusive training and need Rise to support 508 Compliance needs, such as adding audio into all sections that have written text.
Hello, Jacq!
Rise 360 doesn't have full screen reader support just yet, but we're working on it! If you use a screen reader on a Rise 360 course now, you may find that it doesn't perform well. We'll let you know when screen reader support is ready.
Also, thanks for letting us know you need more options for audio, including in quiz questions and knowledge checks. I can understand how that would be helpful, so I'd be happy to pass that suggestion along to our team.

Hi, is there any update on audio?
For increased ADA concerns, many of us need audio options in multiple blocks: quizzes, knowledge checks, and gated scenarios are the ones I am aware of.
Additionally, do gated scenarios work with screen readers?
If not, do you have any suggestions on how to make articulate courses ADA compliant?
Thanks!!

Adding in my two cents to this. Playing call recordings and having learners answer questions about what they heard in a call on a quiz question is valuable for customer service training courses as well!

Chiming in: This is a double must for our courses! Excited to see if this becomes a feature we can utilize.

We are looking to help students by having audio to just read the question and answer's out to them to make it more literacy friendly.
Thank you for adding your voices, folks. We'll keep you updated here if anything changes.

Thanks, Crystal. Do you have any short term suggestions to help with ADA compliance needs, specifically with regard to audio and screen readers? Thanks! Jacq

I would love for this feature to be added too! As either a listen to the recording and then select the answer that fits the recording, or a matching option. Match each recording to the correct outcome/call disposition/etc.
