audio tracks problems

Hello, I’m having an issue with the captions for my audio tracks. I’ve removed them, but they keep reappearing. According to the online help, this may be because my archived earlier versions are syncing their captions with my current file, which I don’t want. Could you suggest a solution ?

  • Hi JeanMarcLaumond,

I understand how frustrating it is to remove captions and then see them return. A few details would help us narrow down what’s happening.

    • Could you confirm which app you’re using? If it’s Storyline 360, please also share the build number, which you can find under Help > About Storyline.
    • How are you removing the captions, and when do they return? For example, do they reappear after reopening the project, updating the audio, previewing, or publishing?
    • Was the audio imported, recorded, generated with text-to-speech, or translated with Articulate Localization?
    • Could you share the help article that mentions archived versions and clarify what you mean by those versions?

If you’re using Storyline 360, a sample .story file with an affected audio track would help us investigate. You can also share it privately by opening a support case so our team can take a closer look.

Hey, JMManalili, have you considered having a Storyline tag and a Rise tag and so forth? The generic "Articulate 360" tag on this board leads to the exact problem you just encountered: you can't tell what the poster is talking about unless they happen to mention it. You could allow multiple tags for cases where the question concerns, for example, both Rise and Reach.

        Hey CarlFink1,

You’re right that product-specific tags make it easier to identify which tool a question is about.

We do have separate tags for Storyline 360, Rise 360, and Reach 360, and authors can choose more than one tag when they start a discussion. Those options appear under Tags below the message editor after going to Connect > Discuss Articulate Products > Start a Discussion.

I’ve included a screenshot showing where those options appear.

For this thread, the Articulate 360 tag helped identify the product family, but it didn’t show which specific app was being used. That’s why I asked JeanMarc to confirm before giving more specific troubleshooting steps.
