Audio volume too low when published in Articulate Review
I wanted to chime in on this as I recently encountered the same issue.
I was able to eliminate all the possible causes/fixes mentioned above (and in other posts):
stereo-mono; audio quality setting not enough, volume boost inside SL, or using Adobe audition, etc.
But nothing worked.
I then realized I could manually substitute the converted mp3 file with the original WAV file. This solved the issue. If your case involves not many audio files, this would be the ultimate solution for ultimate quality. But know that once you done that, better not to go back and make small changes and then republish as it will override your files.
I was ready to do this manual process until I gave it a last try. And then I discovered that the check box "optimize audio volume" is actually the culprit. You need to give it max bit rate with this option UNCHECKED.
I hope my experience is helpful for all of you there having the same problem.
In the meantime, I wanted to point out that some of the support folks are clueless on this--nice folks no doubt, but clueless nevertheless. The dev team needs to look at what is being done at the wav-mp3 conversion and offer an option to keep the audio files intact.
I'd like to chime in as well. We were having issues with mp3 audio files playing back at low volume in Rise despite sounding fine prior to uploading. Swapping for wav files solved the problem (I simply exported the same project file from Audacity as a wav)
