Auto play audio in Rise?
Is it possible to make an audio clip auto play in Rise? And if so, how can I do this?

I also agree it would be nice if it is an option- but not the default. For example on a marked graphic which offers audio- it would be nice for the option to have it be automatic. I also agree with the many comments that people could easily skip the audio or even miss it. I think it is wise to not have audio overly used, but when it is chosen it would be nice to have the option for it to be automatic.

Would love to see audio auto-play. It is just not intuitive for our learners...

The auto play feature is super important. I'm surprised it was still not there.

Hi, All. Is there any relatively easy way to code for autoplay? I mean could we technically take the Rise file and edit the manual audio play to autoplay in an HTML editor or something?

I would also like to see autoplay added as an option. Ultimately creators need choice.

If an autoplay audio/narration feature was added to Rise in the future perhaps this could be set to Disabled as a default to get around the current policy?

I have found a solution to have the audio played automatically within Rise. The audio plays automatically when the storyline block loads/appears onscreen. I am using text-to-speech, and then I create a trigger for the audio to start at the beginning of the timeline. I have reviewed it, and it works perfectly! This does require you to import your storyline block into Rise.

Good tip, yes it does work, however it significantly disrupts the Rise layout if you want to use the block for audio only.

Yes, I agree, I have started to use storyline blocks when audio is needed. This takes a little more time due to needing to convert the RISE block to the Storyline. It allows the course to become more dynamic.
I have also become a little more creative with adding audio to the imported storyline block, but it aligns with another block later in the course, so from the learner's experience, they may have a seamless experience.

Well I'm guessing this is out of the question now with Chrome/Edge autoplay policies changing to block many autoplay situations?
If so, is there any way to make the audio player more distinct so it is easier to identify? It is just so easy to pass it right by and never notice that its there.

If video auto-plays (as it does), audio needs to match it. It makes no sense at all that our video is playing automatically, but our audio won't start until the user clicks. We spent an incredible amount of time and effort timing everything perfectly in Storyline...
