Base Layer Audio - how to keep audio playing when visiting layers.

Hello,

I have audio on the base layer.

I've gone into each of layers and clicked on "properties" and uncheck the
"Pause timeline of base layer" box.   My hope was that this would allow the base layer audio to continue playing, as users visited the other layers. This didn't work.

When my users click on the layers, the base layer audio automatically stops and
resumes when they return to the base layer.

Can anyone please provide some suggestions on how to keep the base layer audio playing, while users visit the other layers?

(I don't want the audio to replay when they visit each layer... I just need the audio to play one time from the base layer, regardless of what layer they are visiting.)

Thanks so much,
Alia

  • I'd probably take the same approach. Attached is a .story file with a simple setup that follows your scenario for comparison. Do you notice any differences? Note that the audio in the base layer keeps playing regardless of which layer is visited.

  • Thank you so much Nedim!

I changed the properties in my layers,

to match the properties that you showed in your demo.

    It's working now!

    Sincerely appreciate your help!
