Black screen with play button overlay for storyline on mobile devices

Hi all,

Hoping for some help. I know this issue has been raised in other places before but after trawling through those and contacting Articulate support I've not made much progress.

A picture is attached showing the overlay I'm seeing. While trying to implement storyline, Chrome's autoplay function (which has in the past few years been disabled in places for security reasons) halts the slides. This led to storyline forming this overlay to signify Chrome should allow playing.

That means this isn't actually an 'issue that needs a fix' so much as it's Articulate's correct implementation. However it's not what I need. I've seen many people attempt a workaround at this problem by introducing a blank slide that appears for maybe 0.5 seconds which quickly transfers to the first 'real' slide - I've tried this multiple ways (completely blank, static graphics, etc) and nothing is working.

The next move was to try and dive into the script and do some editing under the hood, but I'm hardly a JavaScript hero so I got a bit lost in the script. Mainly I think this overlay forming takes place in the bootstrap script, which of course is not laid out in any pretty way so can be hard to decipher.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do about this? It's holding up a big project that needs to be submitted. Thanks.
