Bullet points animating in and Section 508 accessibility
Hello!
I have some slides where I'd like the bullet points to animate in as they are narrated. But I'm having issues with JAWS reading each bullet point as a separate list and saying "end of list" at the end of each bullet.
Am I going to be forced to forego animated bullets so it reads correctly? Anyone have a solution?
Thanks.
I figured out the issue. I was not animating by paragraph. Now it works!

Hi preeli! You can absolutely use animated bullet points. If JAWS is announcing each one as a separate list, it might be because you're navigating before the animation finishes. Try letting the animation play out completely before moving through the content.
Also, how are you navigating the slide? JAWS users usually get the best results with the arrow keys instead of TAB when reading lists. Let me know what you're seeing. I'm happy to dig in further!

Thanks for the reply.
I do use both arrows and Tab. Tab is usually to get to the main content page then arrow through the content. The only way I was able to see the content on these pages was to use the arrow keys.
I wait for the audio to finish before reading the page with JAWS. That’s where the issue with the individual lists come in. The animation is fine, and the list items are generally described in the audio, but when it comes to reading the page with JAWS it isn’t read right. Trying to read the page before the audio finishes just reads the text/content that’s already there when the page is accessed. The animated text/content don’t read until after they appear onscreen.
Thanks for digging further into this.
