I have created a Storyline360 file, and each slide has its own audio and closed captioning created within Articulate. I can export the closed captions for individuals slides but can I export all captions for the whole file? Also when I publish to video the captions don't appear to come with it, and I then need to attach a caption file? I am VERY new to this, and hope some can help.1.9KViews5likes72CommentsDefault Player in Storyline
I have encountered this issue with 10-12 Storyline files, and I am curious if anyone else has experienced it and if so, what your solution was? I need to remove the Play/Pause button and Playback from my player because I do not have any audio, video or utilizing the timeline in my file. When I deselect the Play/Pause button and Playback from my player and then I upload the project into Team Slides, it doesn't seem to save my player settings. When I reopen the file from Team Slides, the Play/Pause button and Playback Speed are re-selected. This does not happen with any other player setting, only the Play/Pause button and Playback speed. This behavior does NOT happen if I save locally and then open the file from my local machine. When I save locally, my player settings are saved as is. Has anyone else experienced this?Unable to change Radio buttons select colours in Rise 360
There is major accessibility issue in Rise 360 in terms of how it manages its theme colours. If I change the theme colour to Dark then the black focus indicator is invisible(#00005c), and if I use the light colours then the black focus indicator colour is visible, but with issue. Now here the challenge is when I change the theme to light colours (#66abf0) then the selected Radio Buttons colours, quiz numbers and Quiz Start button becomes lighter in contrast with the white background and causes WCAG colour contrast issue. Request Rise team to address this issue. I reported a case, but no solution till now. Early solution to this is appreciated.58Views1like2CommentsHow Do You Balance WCAG and Visual Design in Storyline?
Hi everyone! I’m a newer instructional designer transitioning into higher ed. I’d love to hear your advice: When building in Storyline, what are your top strategies for balancing visual engagement, accessibility (WCAG), and manageable development time? Are there specific workflows, templates, or design habits that have saved you time while still producing polished courses?30Views0likes1CommentIssue with Storyline Articulate Program
The Storyline application won't open (I have access to the platform). I tried to launch Articulate Storyline, and the initialization screen appears for about 5 seconds and then disappears. Nothing opens after that. I tried restarting the laptop and also reinstalled the app. But still the same happens when I click 'open'. Any suggestions or tactics I should try out?15Views0likes1CommentRise Buttons
Hi, We currently have an issue where some of our learners can't see a continue button (primarily on a mobile/cell phone). I've researched the issue, and it seems like the best solution for us would be to replace the standard continue button with a general button that would have the instruction to link to the next section of the course. My question is, if we upload a new version of the course to our LMS, is there a chance that the LMS would stop recognising the course, as it would class the change of a button as a significant change? Thank you for shedding any light on this.28Views0likes4CommentsTabs block in rise : how to keep a consistent height between tabs?
How do I stop tab blocks from flickering in size when the content of each tab isn't the same height? When we navigate the tabs, the page is jumping around all over the place and it is so incredibly distracting and annoying. I work with visually impaired students and the twitching is causing problems. I want to be able to either specify an overall size for the block or the block should just size itself according to the largest tab.77Views0likes5CommentsRise inconsistent font sizes
Something that has always irked me when accessibility testing Rise courses is the font sizes in the knowledge check questions. I think there are other blocks that also feature different font sizes, but in this example, it is a multiple choice knowledge check question. Above my multiple choice question I have a regular Text block (paragraph): 17px Multiple choice question (Question text): 16px Multiple choice question (Question options): 15px Multiple choice question (Question feedback): 14px I find this a bit unusual in terms of accessibility and am not sure what the rationale is behind the different font-sizes in some blocks (appears to be hierarchy?), but I always think of users who may be optimising text zoom based on the body text being 17px, and then come to a MCQ where the font sizes get smaller and smaller. Any chance of this being considered for change in future so that font sizes are more uniform? I tend to adjust these manually when building, but would much rather they came out of the box uniform. Thanks, Sam.50Views2likes2CommentsCan you tell me why we have so limited customization?
We know that design is one of the most communicative aspects of our work with clients, because it can make a big impression regardless of functionality. However, in Rise 360, customization is somewhat limited. This discussion arises from several factors, but specifically and personally, our team needs a color preset or design set in the “Themes” -> “Colors” section to create a clear aesthetic for each course we create. Because with each course we create, we have to go button by button and do the same thing over and over again. Is there really no way to set a preset and design a course with a single click? (Color palette, font, navigation, etc.) Best regards.48Views0likes2Comments
