Hi, I'm using Storyline, and you can see what needs to be done to make it accessible. I've added ALT text to things, but when added to Rise, the screenreader is not picking it up. Can anyone help as what I may be doing wrong or found a way to make it work? Many thanks18Views0likes1CommentCustom Player Tab with Keyboard Shortcut
Hello! I recently watched the webinar on How to Create an Accessible Drag-and-Drop Interaction in Storyline 360 and in there they show a custom player tab that shows all the accessibility controls. It looks as though it has a keyboard shortcut enable for the custom tab itself, and I was trying to find information on how to do that. They mention it was covered in another webinar called How to Create Accessible Courses with Articulate 360 however it seems as though that webinar was updated and no longer covers the custom tab. I like to include a 'navigation help' screen in my courses for people who are unfamiliar with the storyline player, or just not as tech savvy and may need assistance, but I cannot figure out how to add a keyboard shortcut to that menu to make it more easily accessible to those not using a mouse. Can anyone point me to the original webinar where that subject was covered, or maybe fill me in on how they added a keyboard shortcut to that custom menu tab? Thanks!24Views0likes1CommentRISE 360 - font size and accessinility
I am having a hard time understanding the font size in Rise 360. It appears much smaller than what I set it to. 12 point is much smaller 12 point in Word or any other software I use. In Rise 360, 14 pt text is smaller than 12 pt in word. Are these numbers intended to be point or some other text system like pica? I do not believe that the courses I have created in Rise 360 can be used at so called 12 point. What font size will be considered accessible in Rise 360. When I set the font to 18, it looks like 14 pt.Rise.com to Rise 360
Has anyone had any luck migrating courses from Rise.com to Rise 360? I've reached out to Rise for help to migrate my courses and I haven't gotten a response back. I have around 50 courses that I need to migrate over to Rise 360 or Articulate and I don't want to have to manually redo all of that work.40Views0likes3CommentsResult Slide Miscalculation across Devices
I’m facing an issue where the result is getting miscalculated when the module is viewed on a mobile device, but the score is accurate when viewed on a laptop. The course is published as SCORM 1.2 and uploaded to an LMS. The result slide is showing an incorrect percentage even when all answers are correct. Additionally, when only one question is answered incorrectly, the score displayed is 80% instead of the expected 93%. The assessment setup is: Total questions: 30 15 questions are randomized Passing score: 80% Tracking: Result slide (Final Assessment) All correct answers are assigned 10 points, and incorrect answers are assigned 0 points. It includes two types of graded questions: Hotspot questions — created using Slides → Graded Question → Hotspot. There are two clickable options, and based on selection, correct/incorrect layer is shown. Standard graded questions — Multiple choice and True/False using Submit button and correct/incorrect layers. Points to Remember: On laptop, score is calculated correctly On Android device (Chrome browser), score is miscalculated The same SCORM file is used for both mobile and laptop Has anyone experienced result slide score calculation differences between phone and desktop? Could this be related to randomized questions, hotspot question behavior, or the LMS?Solved94Views0likes6CommentsRise: Toggle to make Audio Blocks "Optional" for Continue Buttons
Pls note: I've cross-posted this to the Accessibility discussion group I’m designing a mandatory compliance course in Rise where we need to ensure learners interact with specific elements (like Lists or Accordions) before moving forward. We currently use the Continue Block set to "Complete All Blocks Above" to manage this. (We also set the Navigation mode to Restricted, but we also want learners to complete the interactive elements on each page). We'd like to add Audio Blocks for accessibility to support those who prefer listening. The issue is that the Continue Block treats these audio files as mandatory interactions. This forces every learner to play the audio just to unlock the "Continue" button, even if they have already read the text on the screen. I'm aware of the "workaround" to move the Continue Block around or change it to "Complete Block Directly Above" to isolate the audio, but this is not an ideal solution. It forces me to "chunk" the content into artificial, tiny sections, which disrupts the natural scrolling flow of a Rise lesson and clutters the UI with unnecessary buttons. Suggesting that learners use their own screen readers isn't a feasible solution for us either. In many corporate environments, learners cannot install third-party software, and built-in tools can be inconsistent across different browsers and security settings. We want to provide audio within the course that remains optional. My Request: Could we get a toggle within the Audio Block settings to "Exclude from Completion"? This would allow us to keep the "Complete All Blocks Above" setting for mandatory interactions while letting the audio remain a truly optional feature for those who need it.126Views2likes4CommentsNot really a storyline issue, but kinda. VoiceOver on Mac
I've been testing my SL360 courses, using NVDA screen reader on Windows for a while. Now I have access to a Mac and did some research to learn that most people use the built-in screen reader, VoiceOver. My problem is I can not get VoiceOver to read a single thing in any of my courses. All it keeps saying is "You are currently on an image" I've tried googling answers and every one of them has not resolved my issue. NVDA has no problem reading text, or any alt-text. Can someone help me out?32Views0likes1CommentCan QR Code get to Review 360 without need to Sign In?
I want our students to access Storyline videos in Review 360 via a QR code. The QR code works, but the sign-in option remains. Keep in mind, they don't have to sign in. The video will play. However, I don't want the sign-in option to be there. I just want the video within Storyline to play. Is there a way to eliminate the sign-in screen? Would Reach 360 allow me to do this? I don't have experience with Reach 360, but I'm willing to learn if it will solve the problem.Solved100Views0likes5CommentsAudio block accessibility- accessing the transcript on an audio block.
