Button in VoiceOver
Hi
Can anyone advise on why buttons on the slide are not working when using VoiceOver on an iPad or iPhone?
Thanks

Hi, Luke.
Thank you for reaching out!
Let me ask you a few questions to narrow down the issue:
- Is it happening with one specific file or any project created in Storyline that you tested using VoiceOver?
- When you tested the course, was it published for web, LMS, or Review 360?
- Which browser did you use on the device?
Are you comfortable sharing the .story file either publicly here or privately through a support case so we can help you troubleshoot?

Hi, Maria
Sorry for the delayed reply. I have attempted to answer some of your questions below
- Is it happening with one specific file or any project created in Storyline that you tested using VoiceOver? - It wasn't me testing it as I have a Dell system and not an Apple one but i think it was all files.
- When you tested the course, was it published for web, LMS, or Review 360? - LMS
- Which browser did you use on the device? - I would need to check this but I have advised the client on Chrome in the past.
I would be happy to share the file yes. I will share via a support case. Do I share the actual SCORM file?
Also, I noticed that when I tried testing it on my iPhone it wouldn't even let me select the button. It would let me select other items on the page in the LMS (which is bespoke) but not the button on the slide. I had the same issue on an iPad which I tested it on too. Is this a different issue or tied in with the one above?
Kind regards
Luke
Hello Luke!
We really appreciate you sharing these details with us! It would be helpful if you could share the .story file with us so that we can publish and test the course in an LMS environment using VoiceOver.
We'll let you know when we receive the file and begin testing.

Hi, Luke.
Great call opening a support case! I see you're working with Darwin, who suggested reaching out to your LMS, since when testing in SCORM Cloud or with the published (web) project, we couldn't replicate the issue with VoiceOver.
Please reach out through the case if you have additional questions.

I'd first isolate the button from the rest of the course. Try a simple Storyline button on a blank slide with one basic trigger, then compare it with the original.
I'd also record the iPhone/iPad model, iOS version, browser, Storyline version, and whether the course is running through an LMS or directly from the published output. That can help determine whether the problem is with the button itself or the delivery environment.
