Button Layer to cue points doesn't seem to be working

Hi,

I have created a layer with buttons on an animation video to get the learner to jump to later on in the video.

I have used cue points to help with the movement along the video timeline. (ie miss all the content that advises them that they answered the question incorrectly).

I am not sure why but one of the buttons does not want to go to the cue point triggered when clicking the button.

Just wondering what I might be missing.

  • Hi Daniel!

I understand you needed help with Cue Point from your Storyline course!

I noticed that you've also connected with my colleague Lianne, through a support case. Great move! I was glad to see the feedback she shared helped to resolve your issue! If you run into any setbacks moving forward, please let us know.

Have a great rest of your week!

Hello, I'm running into exactly the same problem. I have created a ''wrong answer: go back'' button on a slide layer and I want my student to be dericted back to a certain cue point on my base layer's timeline, by clicking on that ''wrong answer: go back'' button. I have created a trigger on that slide layer (jump to cue point X - on X base layer - when user clicks ''try again'' button), but when I preview this, it doesn't seem to be working when I click on that button. How can I resolve this?

    • Hi Olga,

Happy to test this for you!

Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can check how your slide is configured? This will help us understand why your triggers aren't working as designed. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

        Hello Jose,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I resolved the issue by creating another ''hide the layer'' trigger, as I had to have that layer closed first, before jumping to the cue. Many thanks!
