Can courses be copied
I would like to copy a Rise course to be able to brand it differently for different departments. Is it possible to copy an entire course?

Hey guys, I was able to duplicate a course that was already on RISE when I logged in for the first time BUT I can't duplicate the course that has been shared with me. I have been able to duplicate the lessons within that course but not able to see option to duplicate the whole course.
Anyone know whether the person who shared with me may need to something extra to allow it?
Hi Sandra! If the original author added you as a collaborator, you won't be able to duplicate the course.
You can ask the author to send you a copy of the course, and then you'll have your own independent copy that you can duplicate. I hope that helps!

If you are a course manager, however, why can't you do everything the owner can do relative to duplicating the course and re-branding as another course?

- The Course Owner can do everything.
- A Course Manager can do everything except edit labels, transfer ownership, and delete the course.
- A Course Collaborator can edit the course but doesn’t have access to Settings, Share, Review, or Export.

Hi Alyssa,
Is there any way for the collaborators on the original course being shared to be brought over when copied?
For example, if we wanted to have a standard template and we wanted that template to already contain all the collaborators so each individual wouldn't have to add them to each course.
Thanks!

Hi Katie,
There is no way to do this. The only person that will show up under Collaborators for a course that has been copied will be the course owner.

Hello - how long does it usually take to duplicate a course in Rise 360? Mine has been "spinning" for about 2 minutes
Hi Nina,
It shouldn't take more than a minute to duplicate a course. If the process seems stuck, refresh your Rise 360 browser window. Let me know if that resolves it!

Can you copy a course to someone in another company or organization?
- KarlMullerCommunity Member
Hi Julie,
As long as they have a Rise 360 account, you can email a copy of a course to someone else.

Even if they are not under the same license?

As the course manager is it possible to copy the course into a One Drive folder? For the purposes of demonstrating what projects worked on.
Hello Rene,
Thanks for reaching out!
To answer your first question, it is possible to copy a published zipped output to a OneDrive folder physically. But if you'd like to demonstrate what projects you have worked on to stakeholders, I recommend publishing your Rise course to Review 360. You can also use that platform to gather feedback from your stakeholders.
Check out this article for other publishing and sharing options, such as Reach 360, LMS, Web, and PDF:
