Can I change a thumbnail on a video?
Right now it is showing a black screen, is there a way to add a thumbnail image from my video as the cover instead of a black screen?

+1 I agree. It would be a nice to have control over setting something as simple as a thumbnail to avoid learner confusion.

I agree. I'd love to be able to add a thumbnail image for .mp4 videos without having to do additional editing.

This feature would resolve pain points for our users as well.

This feature would alleviate a few pain points for our users in one fell swoop. Videos could fade in (and not have a blank thumbnail), and once videos finish playing, they would end on the first frame (white), which would show more clearly that the video has finished and the learner can move on.
Another user to add to the pile of people not getting a response to the simplest of feature requests. Unbelievable this isn't resolved after three years.
Running into this problem almost 3 years later unfortunately :(
