Can I change a thumbnail on a video?
Right now it is showing a black screen, is there a way to add a thumbnail image from my video as the cover instead of a black screen?

Any updates on this request?

+1. Just had a client request this for a course I've build for them.

Is there any update here, this would still be very helpful to have as an option

Has anyone figured this out yet? Seems simple and NECESSARY! I cannot have my team make two versions of every video - one with fade in from white for one purpose and another for a ecourse.

Just upload one single frame at the very start of the video that you want as the thumbnail. As long as it's only one frame you won't see it when you click play, only on the thumbnail.

I do not really understand what this means

This is ridiculous that this has not been implemented yet. This is such a SIMPLE and BASIC feature in every platform (YouTube, Vimeo etc). You make lovely tools but really let us down with the basics, things that are completely common sense. It really baffles me.........

YESSSSS! Like simple, simple, simple things! (By biggest pet peeve: not being able to adjust the text color of the title for the course)

I am having the same issue with Rise 360 videos. I'm having to take time to edit all the videos to get rid of the starting fade. It is a waste of time to adjust for something that should be standard.

+1 here. My Storyline block starts with a video, and when I export it to Rise it shows up as a big boring black rectangle. Not very visually engaging for the learners!

It's been almost three years since we've asked for this functionality. Any progress on this Articulate? Sort of disappointing.

I guess there are so many requests for new features that the developers find it difficult to know where to start. But I'd suggest actually MAKING a start by clearing up some of these things.
If they're involved in "bigger things" then they're missing a trick, because so many of these would take little work to fix, and make the interface SO much more flexible and user-friendly.
Articulate's support team is good, but a responsive development team would enhance the offering a whole lot more.
