CAN YOU ARRANGE THE FOCUS ORDER IN SLIDE MASTER?
I have run into the same issue as Sabrina. Even when I create a custom Focus Order, I cannot remove items in the slide master. I can move the order, but I cannot delete them. It would be great if I could because they are decorative, and someone with a screen reader doesn't need to be bogged down with those decorative items from the slide master.

Thank you so much for sharing with us that you'd like the option to customize the Focus Order on Slide Masters. We have this listed as a feature request so I've added your use case to our log. This will also help make sure we update you if this feature makes it on our roadmap.
In the meantime, you could right-click on the object and uncheck the "Object is visible to accessibility tools" box on the slide master. Here's a video of this step!
