Can you set a Rise course to expire on a specific date?

Hi, we are licensing courses and need to have our courses 'expire' on a specific date.  The courses will be loaded to client LMS and we have no access.  Is there a setting in the Rise course we can use to set an expiration date or is there another way to do this?  Thank you

    Hi Mickey,

As Rise is only a course development tool, it does not have an expiry date feature.

A LMS typically would have the ability to specify a window within which a course can be accessed, but you have no control over the client LMS.

I (and I suspect many others) need the same thing. I need to be able to set an expiration date. I have different clients with different dates and LMSs. The closest I can get is to create a Storyline file with an expiration date set through JavaScript on a slide that acts as a gateway to the next slide on which I add the Rise URL as a web object that opens in a new window. Still working on the details. I'll add what I find.

You could add the Storyline module into the Rise course and use a continue button, display a layer/slide in the storyline if it is expired and do not mark complete

I followed Phil's steps and it works in Rise for me. We licence scorm course content to various companies and it's a great solution for expiring the content on a fixed date and time.
