Cannot Set Initial Position For Mouse Cursor

I am inserting a pointer into my slide, but each time I try this the pointer defaults to the center of the screen. When I try to set the path the dashed line gets even shorter. The "Enter...
I had the same problem and i saw that it happens working on a duplicated slide in which an instance of mouse was previously used.
