Can't create web link inside a table cell
New feature of Storyline3 just added - Tables. When I tried to put a web link in a cell the insert link icon was grayed out - so it doesn't seem to support this.
I did a work around - created a text box with the link and then placed it over the table cell - not the best solution.
Am I doing something wrong?

I'm so sad to see this was raised 5+ years ago and still in not implemented. I'm not sure if there might be some technical reason or if it really is just "too few folx have voted for it for us to worry about it" (which is how I read phrases like "it's not on our feature roadmap yet" and "you can vote for it").
I was impressed to see that I can use the method suggested and still have it be accessible -- since each table cell is listed in focus order... and since it does seem to place them automatically, I could use bottoms as well... however this still seems so tedious.
I'm aware these forums are not the technical groups, and the answer is often "you can file a ticket/request" but short of doing that, is there anything any of the forum admins can tell us about this and why it takes so long?

I'm quite disappointed as well. I just redid a bunch of buttons in favor of using a table, and now I'm back to the drawing board.

Hello,
I'd like to add my voice to the hyperlink feature request. I need to create 7 hyperlinks for my table, and, unfortunately, it's not an easy journey now :(Hi Anastasiya!
I appreciate you taking the time to share what you’d like to see in Storyline 360. We currently have this logged as a feature request, so I’ll go ahead and include your voice.
We’ll update this discussion if this feature makes it on our feature roadmap.
Have a great start to your week!

I'm trying to do the same. I can't believe this isn't something that can be done. Sorry for my negativity but I don't see this happening if it hasn't been actioned for 7 years.

Hi Scott, for what it's worth I had to do this recently, and the way things worked out is pretty great for accessibility, or at least it seems that way to me. All the cells are organized nicely in the focus order, and adding a hotspot over the cell you want to have the link in even drops that hotspot in the right spot within the focus order. I was grumpy when I first had to do this too, thinking the same way your above post does... but I was pleasantly surprised by how it all worked out with the table and hotspots! Your use case might vary, but I did want to at least give a little shout out to how it seems to work now :)

+1 for this feature as well. It is frustrating that every time I modify the table, I have to reset hotspot positions. Disappointing that after 7 years and many user requests, there is still no schedule for this to be implemented.

Adding my voice to this request. It would save so much time (especially if you are converting content that is already IN a table from somewhere else).
