Can't figure out how to remove automated scroll bar appearing in Accessibility Text
This is driving me nuts. Hundreds of text boxes that were built before the autofit accessibility feature when into play several months ago now have automatic scrolls attached to the those text boxes.
I have tried the many Articulate recommended "fixes" to get rid of the scroll bar., in particular by accessing the Storyline 360 Text Auftofit Improvements article (https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Text-Autofit-Improvements) and Storyline 360: Upgrade Project Text article (https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Upgrade-Project-Text). I created a backup file after allowing the Upgrade Text feature to be imported. This did not generate an "Upgrade Project Text" option under the Design/ Fonts dropdown menu as described in the article. (I would love to be able to get rid of all automated scrolling that has been applied to hundreds of text boxes when the Accessible Text toggle is turned on.)
I've also tried manually updating each text box that has a scrollbar I don't want. I try doing this by accessing the Text Box tab in the Format Shape dropdown option when right-clicking on the text box I want it applied to (including the text box on the attachment). I've tried each of the following options on that panel:
-Expand width option
-Fixed size option with Overflow handling set to Allow text to overflow
I've also tried expanding the length of the text box far beyond the length of the single line text so it wouldn't default to a scroll when Accessibility Text is turned on.
None of these approaches have worked.
I need help quickly and am frustrated by this issue.
Thanks to anyone who can give me a good quick workaround or solution.
Hi Christian,
Thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with the scroll bar in your Storyline course. I understand how frustrating this can be, so I've gone ahead and opened a support case on your behalf so we can investigate what's going on. You should hear from our team soon via email.

Any solutions?
Hi Adam, and thanks for reaching out!
Are you experiencing the same thing as Christian? I looked into their support case, and it seems our team was able to replicate the issue if the text didn't fit in the textbox. The first troubleshooting step recommended was to try choosing the Expand height in the Autofit section.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your file to investigate what's going on. You can upload it here or share it privately with our team in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.

Unfortunately, neither option solves the problem 100%.
If I do Expand height I still get a scrollbar if the text is too long.
If I do Expand width I get scrollbars when the text is too tall...
Overflow Handling -> Allow text to overflow does not work for me at all.
The problem is with presentations after translations (using the export tool) or importing slides from PPT.
Sometimes I have 10-20 such scrollbars per slide....
The only solution is to expand each window manually.
I have gone through all the options and it is simply a bug, an inconvenience of the program.
I've been looking for a solution for a year now becouse it's really costing me a lot of work, so much so that I've started testing other programs like "Lectora" :( Hi Adam,
Thanks so much for sharing what you have done to troubleshoot. You've tried a lot, and I understand how frustrating it is to have the scrollbar behave this way.
Since we aren't able to recreate the issue, would you mind sharing your project file or a screen recording of this behavior? I have opened a support case on your behalf and emailed you an upload link where you can share your .story file or a screen recording. This will help our Support Engineers better understand what you're experiencing and help us determine what the fix is.
You are in great hands with our Support Engineers! They'll respond as soon as possible.

I've got what I believe is the same problem. It seems to have appeared when I turned on the accessibility text feature. However, the scrollbar is associated with a shape object, not a text object. So my shapes now have scroll bars--which makes no sense. Scrolling the scroll bars doesn't move anything in the screens.

Hello . . . I'm having the same issue!
I would like to reverse all of the "Display Accessible Text by Defualt" functionality.
Please help . . I can provide a file for review if necessary! Hi Charles,
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, it would be helpful if you could share your Storyline file with us so we can look at what you have set up. You may also share it with us privately by sending it along here. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

I don't have scroll bars but text is now running off the page or over the top of buttons after doing the Upgrade Project text....and this was in response to support advice to fix the problem. Has not fixed anything and looks like we are going to have to manually update and review 30+ files because of an upgrade. So frustrating.
Hi Matthew,
Sorry to hear about your experience.
If you're experiencing issues with how your project is being displayed when previewed and published after upgrading the project text, please open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.

Hi, I am also having trouble with scrollbars appearing on shapes on several of my slides. I've tried the suggested solutions stated above, but have not been successful. Would it be possible for a Storyline Wizard to look at my file as well?
