Can't import PowerPoint slides into Storyline 360.
Hi,
Did anyone find out the reason for this error. I keep getting the same error "Failed to import PowerPoint presentation". I know other people who can import the file fine so it's not the ppt file. It happens on all PowerPoint files. I've tried repairing my Microsoft office, but still no joy. I also get a message "Not enough memory to open PowerPoint". It's strange as I've tried it with the PPT file closed and also open. It fails in all cases. It happens in Storyline 360 and Storyline 2. I'm using Office 365 locally. The PPT file is saved locally. My laptop is an HP Spectre x360.
I've followed the link to the reasons why it might happen:
Password protection - not the case
Unsupported version of PPt - I have PowerPoint 2016
Not having latest service page - all up to date
Security settings - this is my own PC so I'm an administrator. Are there any particular settings I need to check/uncheck?
Presentation doesn't start with slide 1 - not an issue, I've checked.
The only solution I can think of is to ask a colleague to import it for me.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Julian
Having read further, I think the PowerPoint 2016 that is part of an Office 365 subscription might not be supported. Can you confirm?

Hi all,
Storyline was hanging while importing an image-heavy Powerpoint 365 file; I tried a host of other troubleshooting ideas. What did work was saving a copy of the PPTX on my desktop, starting a new project in Storyline, and increasing the slide size and ratio to match the incoming PPTX before clicking Import. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tennille! - this ended 3 days of wrestling with a non-image-heavy PPT 365 import to Storyline 360
