Can't re-install storyline 360

Because of some problems I decide to uninstall storyline and tried toe reinstall it.

I can't reinstall Storyline. Each time I try from the Articulate 360 launcher, I get an error message directing me to the support article and then a message that states that it has been installed.

I have unistalled/reinstalled Articulate 360. I have checked everything in the support article. 

Any advice?

This is urgent as I'm  developing a new training with a deadline coming soon.

    Are you sure it completely uninstalled?

    When you go to reinstall it, is that the message you get? Or is that just an error message on attempting to launch?

      Hi,
      Thanks for the reaction.
      The ICT department has not responded yet, so I was unable to run a troubleshooter as found. Together with an ICT specialist, I investigated what we could do ourselves in the meantime.
      We reviewed the log files of the desktop app, which showed a specific error: installation was blocked because automatic updates for Storyline were disabled. We could not find this setting anywhere in the desktop app itself.
      Fortunately, the ICT specialist was knowledgeable and was able to re-enable this setting via the Windows registry. After that, Storyline 306 could be installed successfully from within the desktop app. The issue has therefore been resolved.
      I am reporting this because it may be valuable information for you. What I still find strange is that automatic updates were disabled in the first place. I could not find any option in either the desktop app or in Storyline itself to change this setting. To my understanding, updates were always applied automatically.

        I'm sorry to hear that you experienced these setbacks when trying to reinstall Storyline 360. I see that you were previously working with my teammate Enelluar through a support case. Great to hear the issue has been resolved!

        I just wanted to share that the Articulate 360 desktop app does let you modify the settings for automatic updates. Click the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of the app and navigate to Preferences > Updates.

    And I know you've been through the help articles so forgive me if I'm being redundant, but you made sure you have 64 bit (not 32) and you have admin control, are connected to the internet, and have restarted your computer?

  • Thinking about what I just went through with my computer, check all think Caitlin_B​ has said, then sit back and go through again. Make sure you double check everything, shut down and grap a cup of coffee (or maybe an adult beverage) and restart your computer. I had trouble last week and I'm still working out all the little things I missed trying get done before I go on holiday.
