Change the Hotspot selected area-answer indicator?

Hello Heroes,

When using the Hotspot.. I have 2 questions...

1-I have unchecked the "show hand cursor on hover" and the hand is still showing....?

And

2-Is there a way to change the selection indicator? once clicked, the selected hotspot area is marked with a swirling black and white cursor...and my client wishes to change this...

thanks!

J.

Please add me to the list of those many requests, spanning 11 years to provide an alternative option to the tiny and confusing (looks like it's processing) indicator.

  • Hello from 12 years in the future! As it turns out, we'd still really like this feature to be customizable.

There are use cases where this interaction type is preferable to what amounts to over a decade of "use a sub-optimal workaround that probably triples the work you'll need to do".

-Enhancement: Users should be able to replace it with their own image, animated .gif or video file if they want.

-Enhancement: The color of the pulsing element needs to be hex code / template colors customizable.

-Enhancement: The icon should be scalable a bit, it's pretty small as-is and I sometimes have a use case to increase its size.

-Enhancement: Only one correct answer can be selected. This is useless for interactions where there are more than one possible way to get to the correct location (use case, navigation panel screenshot). Build support for Multiple Response interactions that can handle one answer being correct even if there are two possible correct answers. This logic should be supported in all Multiple Response interactions by default.

-Defect: this selector icon activates on screen even when you click on non-hotspot areas - this shouldn't be a thing. I have UI elements on these slides that are present throughout the course. The cursor should only activate on hotspot elements.

-Defect: If you put a hotspot designated as the correct answer above/on top of another hotspot that is incorrect, it'll report as incorrect even if you click on the correct answer. This requires you make a bunch of different hotspots that surround the correct answer(s) instead of just one. Hilariously, this doesn't happen with a regular multiple choice interaction that uses hotspots.

    Please make this a priority.
