Where can I change the state of a lightbox button to Disable then Normal after all the layers within the lightbox have been visited?

Hi Barbara,
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this post may help:

Hi Barbara,
It looks like Holley's pointed you in the right direction! You can use a True/False variable to help you set up buttons to change states when actions have been performed.
Take a look at the discussion Holley linked for a download sample you can use as a guide!

I followed her instruction, and it didn't work.
I need the close button (X) to be disabled or hidden until all layers of the lightbox are viewed.
Also, at the end of her post, she stated, "It is all very well and good except that it doesn't work - has anyone managed to get this to work? If so, can you share your solution."
Do we have a solution?
Thanks for clarifying, Barbara. It looks like the conversation is focused on a custom button added, but you are looking at the included default behavior.
The close button is a default component of the lightbox slide and controlling it with triggers is not an available feature.
Would you be able to use this slide like a regular slide vs. a lightbox to accomplish the setup needed?

Barb- The bottom line is that you can not ensure all the layers of a light box ( nor all the slides in a lightbox sequence) are view since the glaring red close button is out of your control.
The alternative is to create multiple layers with a trigger leading from one layer to the next and a close button (hide this layer) on the last one you want the learner to view.
You could design the layers look like a Lightbox (see post https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/control-close-button-in-lightbox-slide) but i'm not sure the juice is worth the squeeze!Cheers

Hi, Sonal.
Thank you for reaching out!
Lightboxes have a fixed size, placement, and appearance, including the red X button, so the alternative is to build your own using layers. Check out this article for suggestions:
I hope this helps!
