Changing background photo of opening templates
I want to use templates to build my first course. I love some of the opening templates with the large photos, but these photos are not related to my courses. How do I change the background photos for these templates?

Hi Penny,
If you right-click on the image, you can select Change Picture, and choose an image from your computer.
Good luck!

Help! I'm trying to change the background photo on my opening templates as well, and it's not giving me any options: I've tried format background (which won't allow any type of change, to texture, picture or solid), I've tried slidemaster (which doesn't offer any photo options, everything is grayed out). This is my trial, and it's the free Velocity template. Are these editable? I need to change the photos and background so they relate to my course.
Thank you--
Courtney
Hey there, Courtney!
Thanks for writing in.
Content Library 360 templates are editable, where it sounds like the background image is part of a group. Check out this short demo on how to make the change.
Let me know if these steps help you out!

Thank you so much. Very helpful video!
Hi, Vicky!
Thanks for reaching out. I created a sample slide with the Tectonic template to test this and was able to change the background. Here's are the steps I took below:
- Select the background > right click > cut. This removed the current image
- Insert > Photo from the Content Library (Or Media > Picture > Picture from file to choose a picture from your computer
- Resize the photo to fit my slide
- Right click and choose send to back
I hope this helps! If you have any questions please let us know here or privately in a support case.
Hi Vicky,
It looks like part of your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.
Have a great weekend!
