Hi Kate. Sounds like you're in need of a Storyline Template. Not sure if you've made one before, but they're pretty self-explanatory: Set up the desired course design and settings, and then save as a .storytemplate. Once saved, this template will be available for import either upon launching a brand new SL project, or within an existing project by selecting the My Templates button within the Slides tab (note the various drop-down options for cycling through other saved templates and pinpointing where you would like the slide(s) to be inserted within your project):
